Chang Mai – What to do?

I’m trying a new format. These postings will contain only text and few photos to make things load faster. I’ll have links to new pages that will contain the photos.

While in Chang Mai, one of the first things you learn to do is plan your escape! This is a cute little town but the charm seems to wear off rather quickly. Nights are when all the fun stuff happens: Night market, GREAT food, drinking, and the constant flirting with fellow backpackers that smell nearly as bad as you do. Anyway, day time is really rather bland once you have seen all the wats and flowershow stuff so you plan treks outside the city.

There are mountain biking, ATV, rafting, waterfalls, elephant rides, and visits to some of the many many hill tribes including the famous “Long Neck” tribe. I took a 2-day trek into the mountains which had visits to many of the above.
